Program Details
You can train to design energy systems to power satellites and deep-space probes with the Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Engineering from the University of South Caroline-Columbia. If your sights are closer to home, you can design and operate nuclear power plants or develop diagnostic or industrial radiation processes. Students can select an area of specialization such as:
- Thermal hydraulics
- Advanced modeling and simulation
- Nuclear fuels and structural materials
