College of Advancing and Professional Studies 

The College of Advancing and Professional Studies (CAPS) at UMass Boston is committed to adult learners with their diversity of interests and needs. No single plan can satisfy the career aspirations, time constraints, or personal needs of adult learners. CAPS is focused on providing quality education in a form that is relevant and accessible to all whether the program is:

College of Nursing and Health Sciences

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Boston is becoming New England’s expert in health disparities, health policy, exercise sciences, and oncology care. A leader in combining education innovation with clinical practice, the college is engaged in collaborative partnerships with more than 200 health care and fitness organizations through which students can pursue internships and gain clinical/practical as well as research experiences.

College of Liberal Arts

In our interconnected world, understanding the causes of social exclusion is crucial. Our emphasis is on groups of people who are excluded from communities here in the U.S. and abroad, due to gender, ethnicity, age, economic status, and other conditions.

Classes at the School for Global Inclusion and Social Development (SGISD) focus on research-supported practices that increase inclusion regionally, nationally, and around the world. Instruction is delivered on campus, online, and through international exchange programs.
