Choose to specialize in one of five areas:

• English Language Arts: focuses on the development of effective instruction in language use and learning.
• Reading: enhances techniques for the improvement of literacy in students, while offering techniques to train other teachers.
• Science: includes areas of biology, chemistry, physics or general science.
• Social Science: focuses on political science, history, and civil rights, and it may also be customized for international education opportunities.
• English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): gain practical techniques to teach speakers of other languages

The ESOL and Reading Specialist options offer P-12 certifications, and the English Language Arts, Science, and Social Science options offer 6-12 certifications.
