School Details
The story of today’s Southeastern Technical College begins in Emanuel County in 1963 when Swainsboro Area Vocational Technical School opened. Swainsboro Area Vocational Technical School converted to state governance in 1987 and was renamed Swainsboro Technical Institute. The school became Southeastern Technical College in 1990.
STC offers associate’s degree programs, occupational certificates, and diplomas, many of which can be earned completely online. The online format gives students the opportunities to take classes in the environment that is most convenient for them. Online students are required to complete a proctored event such as a presentation, assignment, or major exam. STC values teamwork, professional development, continuous improvement, a strong administration, committed faculty, and a safe environment. Graduates have what it takes to succeed in the workforce by obtaining skills and knowledge from STC and applying them in their career endeavors.
