Salus at Drexel University, a reputable 4-year, not-for-profit institution, specializes in healthcare degree programs. Established in 1919 as the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, the university is the oldest college of optometry in North America. Over the years, the institution expanded its departments and attained university status in 2008. Salus University has five departments ranging from traditional to modern fields:
