Hone your craft with the guidance and leadership of fellow musicians at the Musicians Institute. MI began in 1977 with the idea of creating a supportive, creative, and collaborative environment where musicians can teach and learn from one another.
Programs focus on preparing students for careers in music and entertainment. Coursework promotes excellence in both the arts and academics to help students achieve their professional goals. Students can choose from certificates, associate degrees, and bachelor’s degrees in areas including songwriting, studio recording technology, DJ performance, artist/producer/entrepreneur, and more. The institute also offers programs focusing on specific instruments, such as guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard.
Musicians Institute began offering online programs based on the belief that music education should be accessible to all. Compelling curricula and interactive courses help online students achieve the same success as their in-person counterparts. Students in online programs can expect live lectures and discussions, recorded videos, assignments, and tests as part of their coursework.
