School Details
In 1974, Maryland University of Integrative Health began as a small acupuncture clinic and by 1981 had created an acupuncture school. Today, Maryland University of Integrative Health is the leading academic institution for integrative health in the nation. Since its inception, MUIH has educated practitioners in health and wellness through transformative and relationship-centered programs that draw from traditional wisdom and contemporary science.
MUIH offers graduate degrees and certificates in a wide range of wellness fields, as well as programs for professional and personal development. The programs at the university prepare practitioners, leaders, and advocates of integrative health for the future of the field. Students will learn how to best provide clinical care and consultation to improve the health of their patients and entire communities.
Many degrees are offered in online or hybrid formats. Online students benefit from access to degrees in integrative health fields not offered at most other educational institutions. The school is well-versed in distance learning, with nearly 60% of its students enrolled in fully online programs. Students in online programs can enjoy the quality of MUIH courses and professors with the flexibility to set their own study schedules.
