Program Details
The online MS in Youth Development Leadership degree program is designed to prepare new professionals and those already practicing in the field to lead youth organizations. This online human services degree gives students the competencies, knowledge, and skills to help young people develop into healthy, competent, coping, and contributing citizens. Students will examine topics surrounding youth development, including programming in a contemporary society, the family context, professional and leadership considerations, managing staff and volunteers, the grant process, and more.
Graduates may pursue positions of leadership in youth development organizations, agencies, and institutions such as:
- Schools
- 4-H
- Boys and Girls Clubs
- Nonprofit organizations
- Faith-based organizations
- Recreational/community agencies
