Program Details

The Master of Arts in Animation & Visual Effects is an online art program from one of the top art schools, the Academy of Art University.  The program provides skills needed for careers as visual effects artists, 2D and 3D animators, and storyboard artists.  This unique program features a studio production learning environment with courses taught by industry professionals at the heart of the animation industry.    

The Master of Arts degree allows students to work in 2D Animation and Stop Motion, 3D Animation, 3D Modeling, or Visual Effects while focusing on storytelling.  Coursework emphasizes the exhibition of technical skills and learning to elicit emotional responses.  You can choose from the following areas of emphasis:
