Hi, Looking for suggestions on an EMBA program that I can do while I work full time that best meets my requirements:
Must Have:
– 12-16 month in length (need to finish by late 2013 or early 2014). Note: I do not want to overload courses to try and finish a 2 year program in ~1 year.
– AACSB accredited.
– All online, or located around the Cali Bay Area (want to avoid programs that require nights/weekends on campus if it’s not local to me).
Ideally, should have:
– Not too many mandatory “international trips”.
– Under $50k.
Have looked at 40+ schools, and have not found 1 program that meets ALL of the above criteria.
I will compromise where I have to, but just wondering if I may be missing some options?
Thanks
Hi AlyxisP,
Yes, the University of Florida Online MBA Program (click for the details) has both a 1 year online MBA and a 2 year online masters in business administration from the Hough School. They are also AACSB accredited.
Thanks for the tip!

Doesn’t University of Florida offer a 1 year online MBA degree if you have a BA in business??? I don’t have much details — but you should look into that. And they are definitely AACSB accredited, and their MBA program, online and FT, is highly ranked.
Hi Speedy, Thanks for the update! It’s a shame that California EMBA from Stanislaus is not offered online. I see they have cohorts in different locations, so I assume one is close to you. Thanks for the tip – we have posted it so others can locate this degree too. We only list online MBA options but someone googling this forum for a fast eMBA in California will find this tip right on target! Thanks Vicky, but AACSB is mandatory. Also, note that my requirement was online OR california local (either is acceptable).
Unfortunately this site does not have the required filters I need (e.g. length of the degree), so I could not use it to narrow down what I want.
However after looking through hundreds of programs individually, i finally found just one program which met all of my criteria (including both of my “ideal” requirements too), so I thought I would post it back here in case it’s of use to any future googler’s. That program is CSU Stanislaus EMBA.
Hi MHubbel,
You are correct. The poster was looking for an online eMBA in California rather than the abbreviated Cali in Columbia. Thanks for the tip on the Temple Fox eMBA in Columbia, however. I am sure this tip will help someone!

There is an internationally ranked EMBA program offered at the beautiful campus of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, with state-of-the-art classroom, in partnership with Temple University. Details at http://www.fox.temple.edu/emba-cali/. The director of the graduate programs is Andres Messa Diaz; . Best of luck to you!
Hi Speedy, Thanks for telling us what you needed. I searched the Get Educate database of online mba degrees— we list hundreds of them today. View online schools in California. The executive MBA angle makes it harder as does the AACSB demand. Here are the closest matches I found: California State University-Monterey Bay Executive Master of Business Administration Est. Cost: $41,400 It looks like the Monterey Bay MBA might help you along BUT they are NOT accsb accredited. To find what you want in our system you’d need to expand and look outside California OR let go the AACSB factor OR… Read more »
