So i have seen a comercial for IU, I want to find out if this is a money mill , scam, ect. I was told I could get a tablet and labtop. I understand that they are accredited by the federal gov . Im looking into going for my bac degree in heathcare management/ they are non profit but i read some comnflicting stories.
I joined this school and was explained that this is a non-profit school so the students pay for everything literally unlike most schools. That is the reason it cost more than typical schools. Their credits are not transferable because they have their own way of teaching. In every class, they have a way to relate it to the career path you are looking to go to. Independence is a good and wonderful school, I always wondered how you could medical degrees online; so, I asked my advisor. Those degrees are to touch base on information you should have already learned from a community college. Anyone knows that classes like medical would take more than a 4 weeks, it is up to you to learn all the material. Independence University is a technology school not a medical school. Hello – I’ll be up front, I work for Independence University so my views have to be acknowledged as biased. 1. Independence University is part of the Center for Excellent in Higher Education (CEHE) 2. It is accredited by ACCSC which is a national accreditor. It is eligible for participation in government loans and VA financing (so no it is not a diploma mill) 3. A sister school Stevens-Henager College has a lawsuit against it. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (http://www.accsc.org/). ACCSC is recognized by the US Dept. of Education. It’s approved to provide acreditation to trade and technical schools.
