Hello, Over five years ago I completed the coursework for a master’s in economics. I never did the thesis portion of the requirements. Is there anywhere that I can go (that my previous courses will count) to finish up my degree? I just don’t want to waste all of the time and money that I spent years ago, but would really like to FINISH and be awarded the degree. Any thoughts on schools that would work with me? Am in California if that matters – courses were taken at Cal State Fullerton. Donna
Hi Donna, In this case you’d have to go by the academic policies that were in effect at Cal State Fullerton at the time you matriculated there. Step 1–Contact the Grad Economics Dept. — Ask the Dean what the policy is if you wangt now to complete your master’s degree. MOST colleges will let students return to complete a thesis BUT they may require you to take some new courses if degree requirements have changed AND they can require other things also.
