Hi, I have a question regarding “statement of educational equivalency” A Louisiana state government job posting requires that “Applicants with a degree from a foreign institution must receive a statement of educational equivalency from one of the evaluation services accepted by the Department of Civil Service” I have a Bachelor’s degree from India, but have a Masters and Doctorate degree from this country. Since my last and highest degree is from a university in this country, I was wondering whether I still have to get this statement of equivalency for my Bachelor’s degree. Thank you.
Hi Harold, The only one who could tell you this for sure is the HR or hiring department of the department of civil service in the state of Louisiana. Find the number for their HR dept. and call them up. They can interpret this policy for you. My guess is that since you have an American master’s and doctorate degree they may not care about your getting a foreign equivalency assessment for you Indian bachelor’s degree.
