Program Details

The online Master of Education in Mathematics Education program is designed for individuals considering teaching or current mathematics teachers interested in improving their skills as it seeks to advance early and mid-career mathematics teachers’ ability to effectively implement standards-based instructional practices.  The curriculum provides opportunities for learners to deepen their understanding of students from diverse backgrounds and explore issues of equity in mathematics classrooms, as it strengthens teachers’ mathematical content knowledge.  Graduates are prepared to conduct action research in the context of their classrooms to inform instruction, and to share the knowledge gained in a professional community of teachers.
